About Us

Our roots as a couple and a family go all the way back to the mid-1970s when we first met as junior high students in a small town in beautiful Northwest Arkansas. After "dating" for eight years, we were married in 1984. Our family grew by one in 1990 when God blessed us with our daughter, Hayley. Kyle's birth in 1994 rounded out our family.

After graduation from the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in accounting, Scott, a CPA, went to work in public accounting. His first job took us to the Dallas/Fort Worth area where June completed her degree in Journalism/Public Relations at the University of Texas at Arlington. It didn't take long for us to learn that "big city" life wasn't for us and God opened doors for us to move back to the Northwest Arkansas area. June worked in public relations for a local hospital and then, later, for the hospital's foundation, before becoming a full-time wife and mother. After a couple more years in public accounting, Scott made a move into banking. He spent nearly 11 years in banking, also completing his MBA at the University of Arkansas, before God called us to full-time ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ.

In March of 1997 we attended our very first FamilyLife Weekend to Remember marriage conference. Besides having a significant impact on our marriage, God used that conference and the events of the next few months to make it clear to us that He had a place for us in ministry. We would never have dreamed that we would find ourselves stepping out in faith to leave our career and our comfortable life to begin raising the financial support necessary to become full-time missionaries with Campus Crusade for Christ. But, in October 1997 we attended a 10-day training for new staff, were commissioned as missionaries and began the adventure. God taught us much and worked in miraculous ways over the next 15 months as we saw him assemble a team of committed financial and prayer partners.

In January 1999 we moved our family to Little Rock, Arkansas, and began our work with FamilyLife. Scott has held various positions in the fund development and conferences and events areas at FamilyLife. He currently serves as manager of Partnership Operations, facilitating the process of helping FamilyLife link arms with other like-minded organizations to expand and leverage ministry activities. He also remains involved in helping with the on-site production of Weekend to Remember events as time permits, having served as part of the leadership team in the events area for several years.

Although June's primary role right now is to be a wife, mother, and homemaker, she also serves as an onsite Resource Center Coordinator at our Weekend to Remember conferences. In this role, she is able to help people find books and other resources to help them apply at home the principles they learn at our events. In addition, June is currently ministering to high school students as yearbook advisor at the kids' school here in Little Rock.

On May 18, 2009, we will begin another new chapter in our lives as Scott steps into the role of Business Operations Directore at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. This will be a big change after over 10 years as faith-support missionaries with Campus Crusade for Christ and FamilyLife. We would welcome your prayers during this time of transition!
